Day 140: temporary beauty in Saint Paul

I went out of my way this morning to be able to walk Kellogg Avenue on the Mississippi Riverfront in St. Paul. I wanted to check the river level because we have received a couple of inches of rain for the past few days. To my surprise the crab apple trees were in full bloom and the sun broke through just long enough.

I ended up snapping a dozen photos, more than a few of them were more aesthetically pleasing to me than this one; however, I fear this scene won’t be able to be recreated until this time next year.

The bridges, railings and river that originally caught my eye aren’t going anywhere. I hope.
