Day 339: Ninjas don’t hug

It could be his sensible German roots, or his stoic Finnish background. Whatever the case my five year old graduated past hugs and cuddles and now prefers high fives and fist bumps. He’ll still slip his hand into mine as we’re walking through a parking lot or down the street, but he’s becoming his own self and to him, for now, a hug is an invitation to squirm, giggle and Karate chop the air.
