a place where the water isn’t hard

I’m recently returned from a family vacation to Arizona. Going from the single digit temperatures of the frozen tundra to the 80s of the desert was, in a word, amazing. Over the next few days I’ll post some photos from the trip.

Here’s the courtyard of the Embassy Suites in Phoenix. Nice enough place. Pool was welcoming. We were only here for a day.

01 es phxThe next day we’d be off to Tucson.

To get to Tucson you can travel down Interstate 10…boring. Or venture through some smaller towns and see the Apache Trail. To traverse the cities via 10 is a two to two-and-a-half hour journey. Hitting the round about Apache Trail turns the trip into an all-day affair. Since we were on vacation-time that would be alright.
